VIC VICE

VIC VICE is a cutting-edge virtual reality platform that offers students in Victorian classrooms a chance to experience various workplaces in a fully-immersive, interactive and multi-sensory way.

About VIC VICE

Schools in the Banyule Nillumbik region can now hire VIC VICE headsets and offer a virtual reality careers experience directly to students. This immersive technology allows students to explore various career paths in an engaging and interactive way. Full training and induction are provided at no cost.

Why VIC VICE?

The VIC VICE Agriculture experiences immerse students in practical farming activities. In the dairy farming module, they might virtually milk cows, feed calves, and compare traditional and automated farming methods.

The meat processing experience lets them pack, prepare, and inspect products for distribution. In protective cropping, students can care for plants, harvest crops, and pack produce for sale. These hands-on activities give a real sense of daily agricultural tasks.

The VIC VICE Transport and Logistics VR experiences immerse students in key roles within the sector. These experiences include 360° virtual environments that showcase the day-to-day operations of jobs such as diesel mechanics, forklift operators, and distribution centre workers. For example, students can step inside a distribution centre like Cotton On's massive facility at Avalon and see how online orders are processed.

As part of VIC VICE Health & Community Services, students can explore early childhood education settings, learn about the daily tasks in aged care, understand the role of job coaches for people with disabilities, or get hands-on experience with dental care and myotherapy. The VR simulations also include a gamified health setting, where users practice communication in healthcare, infection control, and rehabilitation under the guidance of a physiotherapist.
