Explore the calendar to stay updated on key dates for our events, inductions, and professional development opportunities.
| VIC VICE Teacher Training
26 February 1:30pm – 3:00pm | VIC VICE is a virtual reality platform that will allow secondary students to see touch and experience different workplaces. BNLLEN is offering schools the opportunity to borrow 5 VIC VICE Virtual Reality headsets to enhance their career development programs. Headsets are available to be loaned once training has been completed. |
| Naturally Goat Farm Webinar
12 March 10:00am – 11:00am | Naturally Goat is an ethical and sustainable business operating out of St Andrews that produces organic goat skincare and many other items. Students will experience an online farm tour to gain insight into the everyday world of agriculture, manufacturing health and beauty products and operating a business.

| Naturally Goat Farm Tour
7 May 10:00am – 12:00pm | Following on from the webinar, Naturally Goat will be hosting 15 students for a hands on experience at the farm in St Andrews. Students will have the opportunity to see what happens in the daily life of a goat farmer, beauty product manufacturer and business owner.

| RIJI Teacher Induction
20 May 10:00am – 11:00am | BNLLEN will host a one-hour session with school staff who are delivering the RIJI program to their students. The session will provide insight into the program and give you the opportunity to hear from previous participants.

| Banyule Healthcare Expo
27 August | The Banyule City Council Healthcare Expo hosted at The Centre Ivanhoe will give students and community members the chance to explore healthcare careers and connect with local health professionals. Attendees can participate in interactive demonstrations and learn about pathways into a variety of healthcare roles. |
| Carlton Football Club Tour
19 August 10:00am – 12:00pm or 1:00pm – 3:00pm | As one of Australia’s most iconic AFL teams, the Carlton Football Club is dedicated to nurturing young talent both on and off the field, helping students transform their passion into a fulfilling career. This event will offer insights into professional operations, behind-the-scenes experiences and industry pathways, expanding their horizons in sport and recreation. |
| Austin Allied Health Webinar
6 October 10:00am – 11:00am | This tour showcases the wide range of areas and career pathways that exist within the health industry, with a particular focus on Allied Health. The tour offers students to meet with professionals and understand a broad variety of career paths and directions that are available to them.

| Real Industry Job Interviews
15 October – Nillumbik Schools 22 October – Banyule Schools | Real Industry Job Interviews (RIJI) is a career development program that supports students to build their employability skills including job searching, resume and cover letter writing as well as interviewing skills.

| VIC VICE Virtual Reality Program
Year Round | VIC VICE helps students and teachers explore career possibilities in growing industries using VR technology. It offers 14 different career experiences, providing students with an immersive and engaging way to learn about various pathways they may not have considered before. BNLLEN has 5 VR Headsets which can be loaned out to schools throughout the year. Note: Teachers must attend the Teacher Training session before they are able to request the headsets. |
| Industry Speaker Bank
Year Round | BNLLEN has developed a speaker bank of industry professionals who can attend the school to present to the students. The industry speakers can talk about their industry experiences, share their career journey and pathways, and answers any questions related to their field of work. Speakers are local individuals who are volunteering their time to share their stories (they are not professional speakers) that will come from a range of professional networks, emerging and strong skill shortage areas/industries and areas of interest based on the needs of the students. Please note that BNLLEN requires 4 weeks’ notice from schools for Speaker Bank Bookings. |
