Calendar of Events
As part of our School to Work contract, BNLLEN continues to deepen our partnerships with local business, industry, and community. Each year, we work to further develop partnerships, thereby increasing the number and range of school-employer engagement activities and events within local government areas.
A large part of this work includes supporting to develop students understanding and exposure to a variety of industries and career pathways.
This year, BNLLEN have a calendar of events which includes the following:

Thursday 9th May | 9.30-10.30am | LinkedIn (Year 12 only) | ONLINE EVENT | A session on how LinkedIn can be used for job finding and professional networking, featuring a representative from LinkedIn. |
Thursday 1st August | 9.30-10.30am | Staetite Fasteners Engineering Fabrication | LIVE EVENT | A tour at Staetite Fasteners to learn about the Engineering and Manufacturing industry, including insights from industry experts. |
Tuesday 10th September | 9.30-10.30am | Allied Health | ONLINE EVENT | An online tour focusing on the various career pathways within the health industry, especially in Allied Health, allowing students to meet professionals. |
October | FLEXIBLE | RIJI Program 2 Events | LIVE EVENTS | A career development program that helps students build employability skills such as job searching, resume and cover letter writing, and interviewing skills. |
Terms 2, 3, and 4 | N/A | BNLLEN Industry Speaker Bank | Variable | A speaker bank of industry professionals who can present at schools about their career experiences, requiring 4 weeks’ notice to engage. |
